Shoals Chapter IAAP is offering an educational program "Obtaining an Excellent Professional Image" by Faith Landers, on February 9, 2012, Florence-Lauderdale Public Library Conference Room. This is a brown-bag lunch learning program, so the room opens at 11:00 a.m. Enjoy networking with other admins while you eat. Lunches may be purchased at the library’s new Bookmarks Coffee Shop or you may bring your own. The program begins at 11:45 a.m. Learn the current protocol for handshakes, introductions, e-mail and phone etiquette, and how to avoid frequent international business mistakes. Ms. Landers is a certified instructor on etiquette, image and protocol and is Carter & Co.’s director of marketing and product development at Carter McGuyer Design Group. One recertification point is available. Administrative professionals at all levels are welcome to attend. Contact Joan Smith, CAP, IAAP program chair, at 256-765-4313, to RSVP.
