Stephany Wingard, CAP

2011-2012 Alabama Division
Treasurer

Stephany Wingard, CAP has been a member of IAAP® since August 1997 when it was still PSI®, Professional Secretaries International. She was a member of the Satellite Chapter until it disbanded and then became the last signing charter member of the Huntsville Chapter in 2002. Stephany has held the chapter offices of President (2008-2009), President-Elect (2007-2008), and Secretary (2006-2007). She served as the Membership chair (2010-2011) and Professional Development chair (2009-2010) of the Alabama Division.

IAAP has made a tremendous impact on Stephany's career and professional growth. She sat for the CPS® exam in May 2007 and received her Associate of Science Business degree in December 2010, graduating magna cum laude. IAAP is the perfect venue to obtain continuing education, improving skills and testing the waters as a public speaker. She is also a member of the Women In Defense (WID) Tennessee Valley Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), as well as American Society of Administrative Professionals, Association of Administrative Professional at CSC, and the Association of Executive and Administrative Assistants.   Stephany is the current treasurer of the Maple Hill Chapter the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution.

Stephany has been employed with CSC for just over three years, where she now supports the area Vice President/General Manager, as well as the Deputy, and five Directors. Stephany has been an administrative professional for 25 years, having started out as a word processor and file clerk. She has worked in the construction, manufacturing, education, lodging industries as well as a subcontractor and civil servant. The most interesting career change involved the two years spent working in Beijing, China.

Stephany has three grown children, plus their spouses, nine very rapidly growing grandchildren, an eight-year-old Norfolk Terrier she rescued from the Animal Shelter and a year-old cat. She is involved with the Women's Ministry at the Fayetteville Associate Reformed Presbyterian church and supports several community organizations. Her favorite pastimes are reading, photography, scrapbooking and traveling.
