Linda M. Hanson

Linda is currently employed as a Buyer II in the Supply Chain Management Department with Aker Solutions Drilling Risers, in Mobile, Alabama. Linda was previously employed as a Purchasing Agent with Tate & Lyle Sucralose (Splenda®) in McIntosh, Alabama for approximately three years. She was employed for 20 years with Degussa Corporation, Theodore, Alabama where she held the positions of Purchasing Clerk, Purchasing Assistant, Executive Secretary, Executive Assistant, and Senior Buyer in the Purchasing Services Unit. Prior, Linda worked 8 years for the Mobile County Public School System in Mobile, Alabama as a Purchasing File Clerk, Secretary II, and Executive Secretary.

Linda graduated from 20^th Century Business College in May 1976 in the Executive Secretarial Program. Linda received her B.S. in Organizational Management in December 1997 and her MBA in May 2008, both from the University of Mobile.

Linda has been a member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) since 1995 and is currently a member of the Mobile Chapter in Mobile, AL. She has served as Chapter Officer (President, President-Elect, Vice President, and Recording Secretary) and chaired several committees. She has served as Division Building Fund Ambassador, Division Parliamentarian, Division Secretary, Division Vice President, and currently President-Elect. Linda earned the Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) rating in May 1996 and recertified in December 2001. She was selected the 2001 Administrative Professional of the Year by the Mobile Chapter and the Alabama Division.

Linda is also a member of the Mobile Area Purchasing Management Association and the Institute for Supply Management. She has served as the pianist for the First Baptist Church of St. Elmo, AL for the past two years.

Linda has been married for thirty-three years, has three children, and two precious granddaughters. She resides at Partridge Plantation, an educational learning farm, in Irvington, AL. She enjoys quilting, sewing, reading, and traveling.
