Ann Davis Payne, CPS/CAP 2010-2011 Alabama Division Vice President

Ann joined the Birmingham Chapter of  IAAP® in 1993 and transferred her membership to the Alabama Power Chapter in 2006 when she accepted a position with Southern Company Services.  She received her CPS certification in 1993 and her CAP certification in 2003.

Ann served the Birmingham Chapter as Treasurer, 1^st Vice President, President-Elect and President.  She also served and chaired numerous committees.  Ann was selected as the Birmingham Chapter Administrative Professional of the Year in 2000-2001. As a member of the Alabama Power Chapter, she has served on the Scrapbook, Ways and Means and Scholarship committees.  At the Division level Ann has served as Administrative Professional Week Director and as a member of the Nominations and Membership committees.

Ann is employed at Southern Company Services and provides administrative support to Don Roberts, Energy Management Systems Director, and a team of 80 engineers and computer systems analysts.  She also serves on the TPO Target Zero Safety Committee.

Previously, Ann was employed in the executive offices at BancorpSouth and Compass Bank.

Ann was born and raised just outside of Birmingham, AL and now lives in Cordova on the Little Warrior River with her husband, Ed Payne.  She has two son’s and two grandsons – Ethan, 3 ½ years old and Aiden, 6 mos..  She enjoys cross-stitch, crochet, scrapbooking, gardening and of course, babysitting!
