 Alabama Division Omega Chapter Members

Rita Lee Smith Phethean
Alabama Power Chapter
August 8, 2010

Rita was a very funny, compassionate, cheerful, and positive lady who always had a smile on her face.  Her smile and attitude were contagious.  She always had a positive outlook on things and was constantly complimenting everyone and giving them great advice.  She was upbeat everyday even though she had some serious health issues.  She began her career with Alabama Power Company in June of 1981 as a temporary.  Her full time employment began in February of 1985.  Rita joined the Alabama Power Chapter on October 1, 2009.  She had only been a member for a short time and told me at our New Member Orientation in January of 2010 how much she enjoyed being a member of our chapter and wanted to help out in any way she could.  Her plans were to be on a committee, but due to her constant sickness, she was unable to do so.  The Alabama Power Chapter misses our friend and colleague, and we were truly blessed to have her as a member.

She was an energetic, positive and upbeat lady who had a positive attitude. Mrs. Kenner was a member of the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, and she served as Sunday School superintendent.
