IAAP Alabama Division Virtual Chapter

The Alabama Division is offering an exciting opportunity for IAAP members who are not affiliated with an existing chapter.

Due to time constraints placed on administrative professionals, many of us have been unable to participate in meetings and activities of local IAAP chapters.  As we face an active, challenging lifestyle, we still have the same needs for professional development and opportunities to gain leadership skills, but the regular chapter format just isn’t an option for many of us.  Administrative professionals have been looking for another way to meet these needs in the face of changing lifestyles.

For IAAP members who are unable to attend normal functions or who do not live near an existing chapter, the Alabama Division of IAAP has given approval for us to explore the possibility of a virtual chapter that would encompass the entire state. We would meet via teleconference/webinar on a regular basis and offer programs with speakers as well providing networking opportunities.

By embracing the world of changing technology, we can make it work for us. Will you consider stepping into the future by joining a virtual chapter?

This is your opportunity to be a part of a ground-breaking concept. If you are interested in helping to form a virtual IAAP chapter in Alabama, please contact Tonnia Maddox, CAP at tonnia@uab.edu.
